It’s over! After 45 days on strike, the members at RISE Dispensary in York ratified their first Teamster Contract. This new contract takes away the at-will status. It installs the just cause and due process afforded under Union contracts, along with other job improvements that they were not afforded previously.

Through our hard work in CWA Local 1120 we were successful in getting a full fiber build in Ulster County. Ulster is the ONLY county in New York getting this type of build. Verizon has been granted BEAD money in other locations in New York but on a much smaller scale. This would have been a much larger build in New York if the fiber preference was not removed.
